You need to do more!!

The New Year has begun in earnest and just like preceding years its fast running, this necessitates the need for us to gear up to do more and begin early.

Most people begin the year with expectations of getting the best financially, but as the common quote goes ‘Talk is cheap’ anybody can say anything. The determinants of a better 2018 is the result you can show at the end of the year, and the truth is: the year had begun already, opportunities are already slipping away and some hopes are been dashed.

I am not a prophet of doom I just want to encourage you to do more as time waits for no man. One proverb I love so much is ‘if wishes were horses, beggars will ride’ you cannot live your entire year on wishful thinking but on practicable actions that can deliver your dreams and aspirations to you. Once again time waits for no man.

If you plan to save well this year, then you need to start now and save well. Think with me at the current exchange rate it will take you one year to save 1 USD if you are saving 1 NGN a day.  And we indirectly and unconsciously match our expenses to the rate of the USD, so you can see that we need to do more on our savings culture this year. This is just an example out of the whole lot.

How then do I do more?

One major key to doing more is our level of Determination and Resolution, for us to achieve our Financial and general life aim we cannot but be Resolute. To be determined is defined has having a strong feeling that you are going to do something and that you will not allow anyone or anything to stop you. You must consistently remind yourself throughout the year of your determination and resolution.

Your determinations need to be backed up with a Strategic Plan which will give life to the financial vision and goals you have for the year. Strategic plans are needed to give you a sense of direction and a breakdown of how you want to get to your financial destination at the end of the year. You want to buy the house, or land or even a car, have a plan in place, start something about it now. You want to continue your projects, get about it now, one of the plans could be that you break the projects into little achievable bits so you do not over burden yourself with the huge figures and cost which can scare you off.

Lastly, I will like to say that for you to do more you must be your own cheer leader, more like an internal or self-motivator. The truth is that the year is packed with its share of appointments and disappointments, successes and failures, and lots more. You must be able to spur yourself on at all times and in all situation the throughout the year. You must develop an internal encouragement mechanism, which as the ability to find a reason to forge ahead no matter what.

I have no doubt in my heart that the year holds for us great opportunities for financial advancement and let me encourage you that your financial dreams can be become your reality. You can buy that car, build that house, buy the house and do much more, I believe you can get what your mind can conceive.
